The Masherbrum Base Camp Trek is a stunning adventure in the Hushe Valley of Pakistan’s Karakoram Range. This trek takes you to the base of Masherbrum (7,821m), also known as K1, the 22nd highest peak in the world. The trek offers breathtaking views of towering peaks, lush green meadows, and remote villages. It’s a moderate trek, suitable for trekkers with some experience, and provides a perfect mix of natural beauty, culture, and adventure.
Arrival at airport and transfer to hotel.Overnight stay in hotel at Islamabad.
Early morning flight to Skardu (flights are subject to weather), if unable to fly we will depart for Skardu by road with overnight stay at Chilas. Overnight stay in hotel at Chilas.
Drive to Hushe Valley (6-7 hours, 120km). Enjoy the scenic drive through the Shyok River and villages like Khaplu and Macholo. Hushe is the starting point of the trek. Overnight in Hushe.
Start the trek from Hushe to Dumsum (4-5 hours, 9km). Walk through green meadows and enjoy views of Masherbrum and other peaks. Overnight camping at Dumsum.
Trek to Brumbrama (4-5 hours, 8km). Enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Overnight camping at Brumbrama.
Trek to Masherbrum Base Camp (4-5 hours, 7km). Enjoy breathtaking views of Masherbrum and the surrounding peaks. Overnight camping at Masherbrum Base Camp.
Spend the day exploring the base camp and nearby viewpoints. Enjoy the majestic views of Masherbrum and the surrounding glaciers. Overnight camping at Masherbrum Base Camp.
Trek back to Dumsum (5-6 hours, 15km). Enjoy the return journey through the scenic landscape. Overnight camping at Dumsum.
Trek back to Hushe (4-5 hours, 9km). Drive back to Skardu (6-7 hours). Overnight in Skardu.
Fly back to Islamabad (1 hour). If the flight is canceled, drive to Islamabad via the Karakoram Highway (20 hours). Transfer to the airport for your international flight.
