Nangma Valley Trek

HOME | Nangma Valley Trek

The Nangma Valley Trek is a beautiful and less-explored trekking route in the Karakoram Range of Pakistan. It is located in the Hushe Valley, near the town of Skardu in the Gilgit-Baltistan region. This trek is known for its stunning landscapes, towering peaks, and peaceful environment, making it a great choice for adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers. The trek starts from the village of Hushe, which is the last settlement before entering the Nangma Valley. From there, the trail takes you through rugged terrain, lush green meadows, and along the Nangma River. The valley is surrounded by some of the highest peaks in the world, including Masherbrum (7,821 meters) and K7 (6,934 meters), offering breathtaking views throughout the journey. One of the highlights of the trek is the Nangma Valley Base Camp, which serves as a starting point for climbers attempting to summit peaks like K6 and K7. The base camp is located at an altitude of around 4,000 meters and provides a serene setting with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The trek is considered moderate in difficulty, suitable for trekkers with some prior experience. It typically takes 5 to 7 days to complete, depending on the route and pace. The best time to undertake the Nangma Valley Trek is between June and September when the weather is relatively stable, and the trails are accessible. The Nangma Valley Trek offers a unique opportunity to experience the raw beauty of the Karakoram Range, away from the crowds of more popular trekking routes. It is a perfect adventure for those seeking solitude, stunning scenery, and a chance to connect with nature.
